En 2011, le Palais de Tokyo rénove ses espaces en vue d’une réouverture générale au printemps 2012. Toute contrainte étant source de création, le Palais de Tokyo innove et invite les artistes à investir de nouveaux espaces et interstices du bâtiment. Son programme se fonde notamment sur l’histoire d’une salle appelée à se transformer au gré des interventions artistiques.
Le programme des Modules Fondation Pierre Bergé - Yves Saint Laurent, qui a permis la découverte de plus de 150 artistes, bénéficiera en outre d’une visibilité accrue. En 2011 pendant les travaux, les expositions du Palais sont ouvertes de midi à 21h00.
